| A couple of years ago, I was approached by a
school guidance counsellor. She was concerned about four
youth who were getting into trouble at school. The
counsellor felt that without some guidance and constructive
activities, the kids would end up getting into more trouble.
We set the kids up with YMCA Strong Kids subsidized
memberships and got them involved in some YMCA
programming. Since then their grades have improved,
along with their behaviour at school.
Having someone care about their well-being and having
constructive Y programs to focus their energy on has had
a huge impact on these four kids.
While my story is about these four great kids, know that
there are many more in our community who need our help.
Please join me and give to help kids in our community to
channel their energy constructively.
