Through a gift of subsidy provided by the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, brothers Robert and Jeff got to go to camp. With the encouragement of Y staff the boys understood that there are awesome people out there who really enjoy spending time with them, showing them how to be caring and confident people.

Robert and Jeff have taken the games that they have learned and taught other friends and family members. It’s heart-warming to realize that these social skills, games, and skills learned from their activities will be passed down to their children. Jeff has become more independent and has come out of his shell. Robert has grown more independent also and has fine tuned his social skills. Camp was the turning point in their childhood and the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign brought sunshine into their lives.
