Oakville's Story:
The first time i did an Ironman Triathlon it was a self-serving goal. I wanted the Tattoo really bad, and liked the challenge the race posed.
When i realized i wanted to do it again, I knew I wanted it to be more meaningful for others. That's when the Oakville Gecko's Team Idea came about. Together, the 10 athletes that make up the Oakville Gecko's are working to make a difference in other people's lives. And the YMCA Strong Kids program offers all of us the opportunity to make a significant difference, a positive healthy impact on children's live.
We encourage you to help us make a meaningful, significant and much needed impact on those children who might otherwise miss out on the opportunities this program offers.
